During a full-day trip through Bohemian Switzerland, you will pedal 70km. However, with an e-bike, you will not be destroyed and bored by the hilly terrain, but pleasantly tired. We start in Krásná Lípa on the cycle paths through Kyjov, Hinterhermsdorf to Bad Schandau, we will walk through the spa town, on the banks of the Elbe we will have ice cream, coffee or whatever, we will look at the breathtaking Elbe Canyon and we will pedal towards Schmilka, Hřensko, Mezní Louka, Na Tokání. Along the way, you can get your feet wet in a fairy-tale lake, enjoy everything that our region has to offer: In Doubice we will have a beer at Na Fabrice and in Krásná Lípa we will show off.

We rent women’s and men’s e-bikes with all accessories.

Myths about e-bikes:

It drives itself. Mistake: an electric bike only helps you if you pedal yourself.

It’s for lazy people. Mistake: It’s for leisurely people and active athletes who don’t always want to work hard.

We will drive together about 30 km from Krásná Lípa at a leisurely pace with several stops (e.g. Fairy Cave, Kyjovský Castle…). We will drive through the Kyjovské údolí directly to the Obere Schleuse (DE) boats.

We will lend you bicycles, wheels and children’s bicycles.   Do you like to spend more time enjoying the landscape than pedaling uphill? We will lend you an electric bike.

Approximate schedule:

9:00 a.m. Start (Krásná Lípa,  Doubice, Na Tokání, Jetřichovice of choice)

10:30  Hinterhermsdorf, Obere Schleuse Boats, bike parking Niedermühle mill and 10 min walk to the boats on the red road and return the same way back.

13:00 Osada Kopec (lunch, coffee break by agreement, open Fri-Sun). A longer return.

15:30 Return

Get on your bike in Krásná Lípa and head towards Kyjov (direction Mikulášovice, cycle path 3013). In 15 minutes you will stop at the Fakulta inn, where you will turn off the main road and drive through the Kyjovský údolí along the Křinice river. Along the way, rock massifs with viewpoints await you, sitting on the Tourist bridge and the border crossing in the defunct village of Zadní Doubice. One kilometer after the crossing, you will come across a signpost on the German side, where you follow the direction of Hinterhermsdorf (ascent). Hinterhermsdorf is a picturesque village of wild timber. In the middle of the village there is an information center and a restaurant. From the village there is an asphalt road with signposts to the Obere Schleuse, where the cruise boats dock. Park your bikes in peace at the ticket office, buy a ticket (5 EUR) and go on a pleasant boat ride (20 min). You will return to the bikes along the footpath that skirts the river.

Now it’s up to you. If you go back to Krásná Lípa by the same route (the shortest option) or you go through Zadní Jetřichovice (crossing) or you go back on foot for a while with your bike against the current (already through Hinterhermsdorf) and you will reach Zadní Doubice and here you can also go to the settlement of Kopec , Brtníky following the blue tourist sign. In the settlement of Kopec, there is direct seating in the inn U Oty. So think about your journey

Of Krasna Lipa expression after blue (or the cycling route No.. 3013, Varnsdorf direction) direction to the spring Křinice. In the village of Fountain follow the bike trail to the Upper Podluží. Along the way you meet a picturesque windmill Svetlik. The first climb awaits you from Jiřetín pod Jedlovou around the Cross on Cross Hill. Continue uphill along the red tourist (note:. leads the slopes, better for cyclists ride longer unmarked path and go back to red, viz. Map). After the Elbe cycle path from Bad Schandau go towards Dresden on both banks. The left bank is about 1km for Bad Schadau untreated surface (the Germans I was quite surprised), but continued over Königstein, Kurort Rathen, city ​​Wehlen, Pirna, Heidenau (can turn for Pirna and visit the local Baroque garden ) and long (10km) a suburb of Dresden, going slightly downhill.

The historic city of Meissen is the cradle of European porcelain production. Famous blue swords and onion pattern to form a cup here since 1710. The interior of the porcelain recommend visiting, demonstration of porcelain production for tourists is shown in German perfection.

Back to the Czech Republic can use the train connection Meissen – Bad Schandau and either or Rumburk Decin.

Z Drážďan do Míšně (německy Meißen) je to 25 km po proudu Labe nebo lze využit příměstský vlak jezdící každou půlhodinu. Historické město Míšeň je kolébkou evropské výroby porcelánu.  Známé modré meče a cibulový vzor na hrníčku se zde tvoří již od roku 1710.  Interiér porcelánky doporučuji navštívit, ukázka výroby porcelánu pro turisty je předvedena v německé dokonalosti.

Zpět do ČR lze využít vlakové spojené Míšeň – Bad Schandau a dále buď Rumburk nebo Děčín.

In order for children to enjoy a bike trip, it needs to have a proper goal and a straight line to it. A good choice is to pedal along the river Mandava from Großschönau in Germany to the sandy beaches of Lake Olbersdorfer see (near the town of Zittau).

In Großschönau, through Varnsdorf, you can park for free at the church and set off in the direction of Hainewalde among the neat stilt houses. The cycle path is marked with green square signs. At Hainewalde, you can stop by the herb garden or Schloss Hainewalde,

You will cross the river Mandava (Mandau in German) several times and soon you will arrive in the city of Zittau, or to the lake Olbersdorfer see with sandy beaches and children’s playgrounds along.

Back either by the same route or for the more adventurous, a shorter route, worse terrain, but you can follow the yellow hiking trail.

There is no cycle path directly to the Pravčická Gate and can only ride a bike in the National Park on the cycle paths. But …, are there other options? To approach the bike and to milk the rest on foot. Where to approach? Either three springs or on the marker. In both places there are cycling-farms.

For example, from Krásná Lípa you will go towards flowing. Then go downhill down the hill to the so -called Czech road, take a valley where you can ever meet someone, climb the hill towards Malá Pravčická and there is a bound meadow in front of you, where you can keep the bike in the storage or down 4 km until to three springs and you will have it on the Pravčická gate on foot.

In general, the cycle paths in the national park are up and down, but on the electric bike you are from the beautiful linden to Pravčická per hour and a half :).

Bike trips in the Lužické Mountains are mostly up and down. We start in the tourist village of Waltersdorf (free parking behind the church) and immediately walk uphill in the direction of Mount Luž at the Rubethahlbaude state border (possibility of refreshments on both the German and Czech sides). After a nice forest road, we drive down to Nonnenfels as usual. We turn off the main road after 3 km. We lock the bikes and go out to the viewpoint, where there is a Berggasthof snack bar and nice views (300 meters there and back on foot). We get on our bikes and drive towards Kurort Jornsdorf, where we continue along the road to the Czech border, the village of Krompach. Passing Julionka and Hamr (possibility of refreshments at the Penzion Pod přehradou) we stop near Naděje. Cold swimming guaranteed even in summer, I recommend it. Via Rozcestník U Jána up the hill on cycle path 3061 to the Luž hut (refreshments). Then it’s all downhill back.
