Schrammsteine, a sandstone rock massif on the right bank in the Saxon Switzerland National Park. Several hiking trails lead here from the villages of Schmilka, Bad Schandau and Ostrau. The Schrammsteine are bordered to the north by the Kirnitzschtal valley (the tram line from Bad Schandau runs here), to the south by the Elbe valley and to the east by the Affensteine rock formation. The peaks of the rock chain are over 400 m above sea level and the highest peak (Schrammsteinaussicht – 417 m) is accessible by steel stairs. Great views, for example of the Falkenstein and Hohe Torstein rock towers.
