Lusatian Mountains – Cross-country skiing in and around Polevsko

Na okruzích v okolí Polevska v Lužických horách. Výborné běžkařské podmínky na upravených okruzích (dle sněhových podmínek, aktuální stav níže).

Trasy na upravovaných okruzích pro běžkaře::

Okruh kolem vleku a Polevského vrchu: z Jedličné – Tannenbergu, k vleku, dále po louce a dolů k prácheňské silnici, zpět nahoru přes Polevský vrch, kytlické pastviny, návrat na Jedličnou (cca 5 km, modrý okruh)

Okruh na Prácheň: z Jedličné přes Polevský vrch, přejezd silnice Polevské – Prácheň, kolem polevského lomu k vysílači na Prácheň a zpět na Jedličnou přes kytlické pastviny (cca 10 km, zelený okruh)

Okruhy do Okrouhlé: za prácheňskou silnicí jsou okruhy, které upravuje TJ Orel Okrouhlá – do Okrouhlé okolo hřiště Polevsko a na Prácheň (cca 5 km)

Kočárová cesta – Kočárovka: z Jedličné nástup pěšky cca 100 m po silnici na Kytlice (k závoře), Kočárovka, kolem Malého Buku a Medvědího Buku k závoře u svorské silnice a zpět stejnou cestou (cca 9 km) nebo po svorské silnici na Jedličnou s minimálním provozem aut (cca 7 km, modrá trasa)

Trasa z Jedličné ke Skalce: po zelené turirtické značce přes louku zadní cestou do Polevska do Nového Boru – Arnultovic nad Borskou Skalku (tam cca 3 km, upraveno nepravidelně při dostatečné sněhové pokrývce).

Okruh pro bruslení. Nástup bude možný z prácheňské silnice. Okruh povede po loukách a pláních nad vlekem okolo Polevského vrchu k silnici na Prácheň (3 km).On circuits around Polevsko in the Lusatian Mountains. Excellent cross-country skiing conditions on modified circuits (according to snow conditions, current status below).

Routes on groomed circuits for cross-country skiers::

Circuit around the lift and Polevský vrch: from Jedličná – Tannenberg, to the lift, further along the meadow and down to the Pracheňská road, back up via Polevský vrch, Kytlice pastures, return to Jedličná (approx. 5 km, blue circuit)

Circuit to Prácheň: from Jedličná via Polevský vrch, crossing the Polevské – Prácheň road, past the Polev quarry to the transmitter at Prácheň and back to Jedličná through the Kytlické pastures (approx. 10 km, green circuit)

Circuits to Okrouhla: beyond the Prácheň road, there are circuits maintained by TJ Orel Okrouhlá – to Okrouhla around the Polevsko playground and to Prácheň (approx. 5 km)

Kočárová path – Kočárovka: from Jedličná start on foot about 100 m along the road to Kytlice (to the barrier), Kočárovka, past Malý Buk and Medvědí Buk to the barrier by the Svorská road and back the same way (approx. 9 km) or along the Svorská road to Jedlíčná with minimal car traffic (approx. 7 km, blue route)

Route from Jedličná to Skalka: following the green touristic sign across the meadow by the back road to Polevsko to Nové Bor – Arnultovic nad Borská Skalka (there approx. 3 km, groomed irregularly with sufficient snow cover).

Skating rink. Boarding will be possible from the Pracheň road. The circuit will lead across meadows and plains above the lift around Polevského vrch to the road to Prácheň (3 km).

Crosscountry skiing from train station?

An interesting opportunity for cross-country skiers arises when the railway track from Krásná Lípa – Zahrady – Panský – Brtníky – Mikulášovice is covered with snow. On the “straight line” over bridges, viaducts, around Vlčí hora, you will fly past the old railway stations at an unprecedented speed.

Tip: you can return via the village of Kopec and the village of Brtníky, where there is a bus to Krásná Lípa every 2 hours. More skilled cross-country skiers can return via the Kyjovské údolí (however, here the

Crosscountry skiing Prachen

Feel free to park in the large parking lot at Panská skála (in winter more freely and free of charge). Cross a busy main road. Put on your cross-country skis after a few tens of meters and head to the Prácheň transmitter, to the Klučky quarry (nice view). After the Lužická magistrál (often adapted to classic) you will reach above Polevsko. Depending on your strength, you can circle Polevský vrch all the way to Jedličná. Back along the same route.

Tip: Around Polevsko, the tracks are the best groomed. There is a restaurant and bistro in the village near the ski area (bike trails in the summer)

Bohemian Switzerland and Lusatian Mountains tend to have good snow conditions for cross-country skiing, groomed runs several routes. So why is not try. Borrowing a cross-country equipment.
