In Germany, 60 km from Krásná Lípa in the direction of Gorlitz, there is a flooded sand quarry. There is a 16 km long road around the lake (14 km with perfect asfalt). Possibility of swimming (beautiful sandy beach) and snacks along the way. I recommend it for families with children. The path is suitable for skaters with strollers. Parking (see map) price 2-6Eur.

In order for children to enjoy a bike trip, it needs to have a proper goal and a straight line to it. A good choice is to pedal along the river Mandava from Großschönau in Germany to the sandy beaches of Lake Olbersdorfer see (near the town of Zittau).

In Großschönau, through Varnsdorf, you can park for free at the church and set off in the direction of Hainewalde among the neat stilt houses. The cycle path is marked with green square signs. At Hainewalde, you can stop by the herb garden or Schloss Hainewalde,

You will cross the river Mandava (Mandau in German) several times and soon you will arrive in the city of Zittau, or to the lake Olbersdorfer see with sandy beaches and children’s playgrounds along.

Back either by the same route or for the more adventurous, a shorter route, worse terrain, but you can follow the yellow hiking trail.

Mikulášovice (Nixdorf in German) is a small, but long (7 km) town in the Šluknovské outcrop. Mikulášovice reached its greatest glory before the First World War, when it was the largest village in Austria-Hungary with less than eight thousand inhabitants. Mikulášovice is known primarily for its traditional textile and cutlery industries. Approximately 2,200 inhabitants live in them.

I recommend visiting: Museum of knife tradition, Tanečnice observation tower, Adolf Krause Observatory together with house No. 2, church of St. Mikuláš and or the reconstructed natural swimming pool

Water reservoir Vlčí can be found above the city Šluknov. For example, you will go on a trip to Karlova údolí on the red road

Lipová Quarry you will find during a trip from the village Lipová to Anenský vrch on the green. A beautiful clean quarry appears in the middle of the trip.

Large fir pond is on the bike path 3015 from the village of Rybniště to Jedlova.

Klopot lake it is hidden on the border with Germany ( left bank of the river Elbe, 200 meters up a steep hill from the shore). You can either take the Elbe cycle path or take the green path from Dolní Žleb. Input (rather a jump) from the dam, crystal clear water, cold even in summer

Naděje water reservoir waiting for you on the cycle path from Mount Luž in the direction of Cvikov or on foot from Horní Světlá along the green path.
