Park at the crossroads Postal cone in the village of Jetřichovice and go along the yellow trail to try a new outlet for Castle Rock Falkenštejn (cultural heritage) NP Czech Switzerland. Po 500 you encounter meters turn left, which continue after the first timber, then the metal stairs up around the rock massif. Long complicated access to the castle is now easier and safer thanks to the stairs across the access gap. At the top you can admire the carved parlors and the foundations of the castle rock and stunning views of the new viewing platforms. Children will appreciate the different paths, which may seem like a castle maze. Back takes you through the steps in the joint and below them you can use circular way down (turn left), which will take you back to the yellow tourist mark.

Růžová is a small village with many stilt cottages on the outskirts of the village and with the church of St. Peter and Paul in the middle. A kilometer from the village, I recommend visiting the Růženka lookout tower (the best lookout tower in 2018), which is managed in a modern way. Dokořán Gallery and handmade soap production at the Rubens company are also not to be missed. And if you’re hungry, go to the Růžová farm, they sell cheese here, or stop at the U kostel restaurant (Wed-Sun). For children in the summer months, the Indian village of Rosehill is built on the edge of the village towards Genoa. If you follow the yellow path, you will arrive around Růžové vrch to Dolské mlýn.

How to get to the mountain from which there is a beautiful view in all directions?
A red tourist sign leads to the top either from Nové Bor or from nearby Svor (I take the train from Krásná Lípa and Česká Lípa :)). From the station, a 3 km long climb through the forest and nature reserve awaits you. The last kilometer is impassable for strollers and bicycles. The panoramic view of Ještěd, Czechoslovak Switzerland and Krkonoše can draw you to the top. At Klíč, even a photography layman can become a professional for a moment.

From the remote village of Krompach (500 m.a.s.l.) the road leads to the very top of the Lužické Mountains, Mount Hvozd 749 m.a.s.l. (Hochwald in German), where you can enjoy a wonderful view in all directions and the German restaurant Hochwaldbaude.

Park in the village square in Krompach and follow the red light to head up. Do not cross the turn that will lead you to the very old Yews (Supposedly over 500 years old), of which there are quite a few along the way. Between the stilt houses and the horse enclosure, you will reach the border stones with Germany, which you will pass all the way to the very top. The last climb is a scree basalt field (approx. 200m), where you will feel like you are in the Alps. You can stop by the Hochwaldbaude hut or the nearby Hochwald Lookout. You can go back the same way or along the yellow (slightly longer) path.
