Det indtager et omr\u00e5de n\u00e6r statsgr\u00e6nsen til Tyskland, som adskiller det fra nationalparken Saxon Switzerland. Parkens areal er 79,23 km\u00b2.<\/p>\n<p>Omr\u00e5det h\u00f8rer til den geomorfologiske enhed i D\u011b\u010d\u00edn Upland, som er en del af Kru\u0161nohorsk\u00e1 Hornatina. Der er kun \u00e9n landsby i parken, nemlig Mezn\u00e1, der tilh\u00f8rer H\u0159ensko kommune, samt ruinerne af en vandm\u00f8lle og flere klippeslotte (f.eks. Falken\u0161tejn, \u0160aun\u0161tejn, Brtnick\u00fd hradek, &#8230;). Skove d\u00e6kker 97% af territoriet. Den oprindeligt dominerende skovb\u00f8g blev i dag fortr\u00e6ngt af den st\u00e6rkt dominerende nordmannsgran. Engang en velkendt plante i parken var den kentiske hortensia, men den findes ikke l\u00e6ngere i parken, ligesom mange dyr, s\u00e5som europ\u00e6isk elg eller vildkat.
